This week we are exploring the following texts. Read through each sentence and think about what these words mean for you. How do they help you in your everyday life?
Ecclesiastes 7:8-9. Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.9 Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-18. 12 Now, brothers, we ask you to respect those people who work hard with you, who lead you in the Lord and teach you. 13 Respect them with a very special love because of the work they do with you. Live in peace with each other. 14 We ask you, brothers, to warn those who do not work. Encourage the people who are afraid. Help those who are weak. Be patient with every person. 15 Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong. But always try to do what is good for each other and for all people. 16 Always be happy. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Give thanks whatever happens. That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:26 When you are angry, do not sin. And do not go on being angry all day.
James 1:19-21. 19 My dear brothers, always be willing to listen and slow to speak. Do not become angry easily. 20 Anger will not help you live a good life as God wants. 21 So put out of your life every evil thing and every kind of wrong you do. Don’t be proud but accept God’s teaching that is planted in your hearts. This teaching can save your souls.
The holy spirit helps us grow and be like Jesus, full of love for the world and the people in it.

Playhouse Kids - Practise your patience while you make this super I-SPY Bottle.
All you will need is:
a bottle
some rice or bird seed
Treasure that you can hide inside and a list of the things that are in the bottle, so you know what to look for.
Playhouse Kids
Be adventurous and try a fruit, vegetable or spice that you haven’t tasted before. Share with us what they tasted like and if you liked them.
Make your own garden by planting seeds from the fruit you have eaten. Take care of your seeds and watch your plant and fruit grow.
TREEHOUSE KIDS Have you ever opened a packet of modelling clay and found it easy to use? I haven’t!
It is always so hard. You have to constantly use your hands to hold and press into the clay to get it to move the way it is designed to. Once that is done, you can make that modelling clay into pretty much anything. Until then you have to constantly keep the clay warm and press into it over and over again. This takes patience and persistence.
This is what Kindness and Goodness does. Kindness warms up and goodness presses into our heart.
While you’re creating something amazing with your modelling clay, know that Jesus sees something amazing in you. Let Kindness and goodness press into your heart and know that you are loved. Create something amazing in your heart and with your hands and share it with your family and friends. If this is hard to do, don’t give up. Keep squishing the clay and it will get easier to use. Combine Kindness, goodness and patience and see what you can come up with.
PLAYHOUSE KIDS
Play guess that fruit or vegetable.
You can play this at home or at the store. See if you can name all the fruit and vegetables in your kitchen or at the grocery store.
Treehouse Kids
Play detective and research what good things are in the fruit and vegetables that we are eating.
