Hey Kids

What’s Happening - The apostle Paul shares with us what it is to be good and Kind. How can we be good and kind in a world that does not feel very good or kind? Let's explore the story of the Good Samaritan and the activities below to discover how to be kind and good.

This week we are exploring the following texts.
Romans 15:14. I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
Do you feel like you are full of Goodness? Watch the Jon Jorgensen video “You are Good” (Below) and see how good you truly are and why.
Galatians 2:20. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
How does Christ live in me? Watch the Bible Project video on the Holy Spirit, below and see how the spirit can live in me and you.
Philippians 2:14-16. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
Imagine if we could play back a recording of our day? What would we sound like, look like and how did we make other people feel? Why do you think Paul is saying in verse 16 that he will be able to boast on the day of Christ? What is the day of Christ?
Our next verse tells us how we should be with each other as a sign of Jesus spirit living in us.
Colossians 3:12-14 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
These verses are a repeat of the fruit of the spirit text found in Galatians Chapter 5. Paul is telling us to clothe ourselves in these virtues. What are they? What is the one virtue that is above all the others and binds them all together?
What is a virtue? Ill give you a hint, they are in bold lettering in Colossians 3:12-14
Our Words To Remember for this week are found in Colossians 3:17
Everything you say and everything you do should all be done for Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.
Let’s pray that, In all that we do , we give thanks to God the father through Jesus. Thank you Jesus for sharing your spirit with us. We want to listen more, love more, and serve you more, in your precious name. Amen

TREEHOUSE KIDS Have you ever opened a packet of modelling clay and found it easy to use? I haven’t!
It is always so hard. You have to constantly use your hands to hold and press into the clay to get it to move the way it is designed to. Once that is done, you can make that modelling clay into pretty much anything. Until then you have to constantly keep the clay warm and press into it over and over again.
This is what Kindness and Goodness does. Kindness warms up and goodness presses into our heart.
While you’re creating something amazing with your modelling clay, know that Jesus sees something amazing in you. Let Kindness and goodness press into your heart and know that you are loved. Create something amazing in your heart and with your hands and share it with your family and friends.
PLAYHOUSE KIDS
Play guess that fruit or vegetable.
You can play this at home or at the store. See if you can name all the fruit and vegetables in your kitchen or at the grocery store.
Treehouse Kids
Play detective and research what good things are in the fruit and vegetables that we are eating.
