Hey Kids

Trailblazers Show Us How To Never Give Up on Family

This week we are exploring how dedicated our trailblazers were to family and how God wove their DNA into Jesus family tree.

Bible Texts —Genesis 38:1-30, | Ruth | Joshua 2 | John 1:12 | Matthew 1:5

WORDS TO REMEMBER

But some people did accept him.

They believed in him. To them he gave the right to become children of God.

PLAYHOUSE KIDS

Draw a picture of your family.

Add in your friends who are like family to you.

Add in the people who you know from School or Day care or swimming or any of the places you go throughout your week. All of these people have a place in Gods family.

Draw them into your picture and pray that you can share Who Jesus is by how you treat them.

Think up ways that you can share Jesus love.

Share them with us in our Whats app group, we would love to see and hear them.

TREEHOUSE KIDS

To make anything, something has to move and change and work together to create what it is you want to make. When God made the world His plan was to create a world full of love and life. He is still working that plan out and wants to know if you are keen to be a part of it.

What ever you are making, think about how God wants to make something wonderful in you and with you to bless the world.

Making Macramé

Ever wondered how they make those comfy hammocks or amazing plant hangers or even clothes out of knots? Check out this video and find out how to make the knots then create your own macramé work of art.

Don’t give up when you get a bit tangled up. When we work through our mess we learn so much more!

TRY to fit into shoes or clothes, that are too small for you. How does that feel?

Have you ever tried to fit in somewhere? What did you do? How did that feel?

Sometimes we make small choices that squeeze people out.

Jesus big choice was to sacrifice Himself so we could fit into a forever life full of love with Him.

Read the Words to Remember and try to memorise them.

Think about if you have accepted Jesus just as He is?

Try building a Human Pyramid with your Family and friends

Here is one that you can copy and one that is a world record breaking attempt.

Either way all of these people are working together to build.

Jesus invites us build with him. To lean in, climb up, hold strong to him and each other to build friendships, families and communities that are made from Love.

Try to memorise the Words to Remember while you colour them in.

PLAY Cat & Mouse

  • You will need at least 7 players

  • 5 hold hands in a circle

  • One person is a mouse inside the circle

  • One person is a cat outside the circle

  • The game starts when the cat starts to chase the mouse.

  • The cat tries to break through the arms of the circle

  • The circle always lets the mouse in or out and keeps the car out or in.

  • The game ends when the mouse is caught or the timer goes off. The timer is set by the game host.

The cat wants to catch the mouse because that is what cats do.

People want to belong because that is what people do.

We are designed to be together.

However sometimes we do things to keep others out.

Can you think of anything that you fo that shuts others out? What can we do to change that?

What can we do to help other know that they belong in Jesus family?

This is what Jesus gave His life for. So we can belong together in Jesus name.
