MAKE //A Box Guitar

Waiting is tough. While we are waiting for something we can be creative with what we have.

When we don't have to wait anymore we will have a great guitar to celebrate with.

Psalm 98:4

Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy

How we see the world depends on the particular lens we are looking through. Jesus calls us to look at the world through the lens of love. Love each other because he loves us and them. We are the love of his life. Load up this free app and see the colours of this world in a whole new pattern.

TRY // Dominoes

One little thing can make a big difference! Watch this video and see how pushing one domino over has a BIG impact. What is one thing you can do today to be helpful, kind or sharing? Just like a little domino, you can make a big difference too.

Have you got dominoes at home? If you don’t have dominoes, maybe you have some blocks that you could use to try making your own domino line.

TRY // Imaginative Writing
Retell the story of Jesus birth as if it was happening today. Where would Joseph and Mary be travelling to? Where would Jesus be born? Who would come to visit him?

PLAY // Hide & Seek

Anna and Simeon where Waiting to see Jesus. They were looking for Jesus in the places where they were.

We can do the same thing.

We can see Jesus in each other when we choose to put others first.

PLAY /Are We There Yet

Anna & Simeon listened to the Holy Spirit direct them to see Jesus. We can listen too. The Holy Spirit will always point us to Jesus. Let’s get good at listening and looking for Jesus where ever we are.
1. Think about a journey that you and your family take and know very well. Choose the destination for example, the Beach, and don't tell anyone.
2. Think of the direction you are travelling and the landmarks along the way.
3. See if your family and friends can guess where you are going by asking questions like

  • Are we travelling north?

  • Are we on the Freeway?

  • Do we pass the Brooklyn Bridge?

  • Do we have to enter a National park?

When a player thinks they know the destination they say “Are we at ---- Name of the place ----”
The aim of the game is to guess the destination within 20 questions.

We would love to see you playing, trying, making and sharing! Please share your photos with your KellyvilleKids community in our WhatsApp Group. If you’re new to our KellyvilleKids community and would like to stay connected, contact us.
